The training camp will be a busy one. Please refer to the following schedule for the times of all meetings and training sessions. We will be following this schedule strictly and every athlete is expected to be on time each day. You will be notified if there are any changes as they come up.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 1
6:00pm—9:00pm: Meeting at Up the Bloc: sign-in & overview of the camp; presentation of goals; pre-work review; establishment of a working team around improved performance; development of strategies for the next two days of competition.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 2
8:00am—12:00pm: Competition – qualifiers at Joe Rockhead’s Indoor Rock Climbing: 5-on, 5-off competition set for females & male circuits – 4 problems per circuit; difficulty will be on par with qualifiers at the national championships; top 8 females & males will qualify for first circuit on Thursday – bottom 8 females & males will qualify for second circuit on Thursday.
1:00pm – 4:00pm: Athlete debriefs: review of the round of boulders; compare goals for the performance with the actual performance – reset goals for following day; work on the boulders.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 3
8:00am—12:00pm: Competition – finals at Up the Bloc: 4-minute final format, 2 different circuits with previous qualifying round deciding the athletes in each circuit.
1:00pm – 4:00pm: Athlete debriefs: review of the round of boulders; compare goals for the performance with the actual performance – reset goals for upcoming competition on the weekend; work on the boulders.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 4
10:00am—12:00pm: Athlete meetings
12:00pm—3:00pm: Team activity – to be determined.
